CAHIE conducts, sponsors, and participates in projects and initiatives that support our mission and goals. We rely on the expertise and involvement of our Members to create a collaborative environment that fosters and supports cooperation, self-governance, and advancement of electronic information sharing.
Our current initiatives include:
- Assessing and reporting on the HIE Landscape in California
- Creating a structure for statewide information sharing
- Integrating HIE in emergency services and disaster response
- Developing consensus guidance on sharing sensitive health information electronically (coming soon)
CAHIE also responds to state and national calls for information on behalf of our members, identifies best practices in difficult health information sharing, and organizes the Knowledge Network, a forum for collaboration on topics related to HIE and interoperability.
CAHIE and its members also participate in national associations and working groups, initiatives, and advisory committees.
