Membership in CAHIE is open to all public and private California organizations, whether nonprofit or for profit, wishing to help promote the purposes of CAHIE and become part of establishing cost-effective, statewide health information exchange in California. There are three main classifications: HIE Organizations and Affiliate Members; Associations, Government Organizations, and Emeritus Members; and Supporters. All Members receive the same benefits: participate in Committees and Workgroups, be included on CAHIE’s exclusive member mailing list and receive invitations to CAHIE activities, use of the CAHIE logo on marketing material (with prior approval), and listed as a Member on our website.
Large HIE Organization: HIOs with greater than $50M in annual revenue
Small HIE Organization: HIOs with less than $50M in annual revenue
Junior HIE Organization: HIOs in the first two years of incorporation that do not yet have the budget for full membership
Associations, Government Organizations, and Emeritus Members
Non-HIE Association: not-for-profit associations of health IT stakeholders interested in HIE
Government Organization: any federal, state, or local government agency
no cost (CTEN participation costs may still apply)
Individual Emeritus: retired thought leaders that have been nominated for emeritus status
This classification is for vendors, service providers, individuals, or other non-HIE organization. It is also for Members that wish to support CAHIE activities above and beyond Membership, such as event sponsorship, special projects, or marketing and communication efforts.
Bronze Supporter: any vendor (or other Member) wishing to support CAHIE at the minimum support level
Small-Business Supporter: any vendor or other non-HIE small business with less than $5M in annual revenue

Silver, Gold, and Platinum Supporters receive additional benefits in recognition of their greater financial support. Platinum Supporters may be invited to present at the Knowledge Network and will be recognized for their support at CAHIE events.
