CAHIE has on-boarded to the eHealth Exchange, enabling participants on the California Trusted Exchange Network (CTEN) to connect to its members.

CAHIE worked with eHealth Exchange leadership to expedite on-boarding, completing the process in less than 12 hours. This expedited action will allow PULSE to query health systems on eHealth Exchange but not yet participating in the CTEN, and national systems such as the VA and pharmacy chains, as part of the response to the fires in Southern California. Long term, this can also allow other CTEN participants to access health information from eHealth Exchange participants.

This was only possible as a result of our decision to model the CTEN upon the governance structure and policies of the eHealth Exchange, and the agility of our organization to respond quickly to the needs within our state.
